Ok, so about an hour ago, I was standing in the shower pouring shampoo into my hand. I put the bottle up, lathered the shampoo in my hand, started to rub it into my hair, and suddenly, I forgot exactly how I was supposed to wash my hair. I just stood there wondering how I could forget something so simple, something I had been doing pretty much every day of my life for so long I can't remember when I started. I stood there wondering about this for so long that I forgot exactly what I was doing. I did a quick glance around to see just where I was. Of course, since I was in the shower, I inevitably looked right at the shower head and got a blast of hot water across my face. Now here I thought two things that strike me now as being fairly funny. First, I realized that I was naked, wet, had my hands on the back of my head for some reason, and was getting hit in the face with hot liquid...I thought to myself that this is what it must be like to be in a fraternity. I moved my hands around to cover my face...my soap covered hands... which of course got splashed by the water and went all over my face and inevitably my mouth. Second, I realized that I was naked, wet, had my hands shielding my face, was getting hit in the face with hot liquid, and had a horrible taste in my mouth...I thought to myself that this is what it must be like to be in a sorority.

I enjoy your real-life prose.

The humor in forgetting something so simple and then adding punchlines is fantastic.

Also, Lushbaugh liked the mental picture of you naked, don't let him lie.

I, for one, whole-heartedly enjoyed the image of you naked as it helped to wake me up at this soul-crushing, hell-hole closet I call "my office." And the punchlines are just great, hehehehe.

I think it was more of a distraction thing. I was far more focused on a numer of other things and the present just kinda popped out of my head.
