I have now finished my first day at DADC. This job is going to be fairly challenging for the first month, and then it is going to be all old hat from then on out. For the most part, it should be easy, I am only worried about the random number codes for various things, and I know there is a lot that I have not been exposed to. I am sort of conflicted about what I should or should not talk about here on the page. While technically I never signed an NDA on anything at DADC, I also never signed one at Crane and I am not supposed to mention details about my work there (Which is funny because nothing I was exposed to there held any value to anyone, really. I mean, I was an intern.). Oh well, I can say after today that my feet hurt..too much standing. At least I got to move around a lot or my legs would have locked up and went to sleep (damn funky knees). I met a bunch of colorful people, most of which I will never work with again since this week is just for training and it isn't the shift I will end up on. Oh well, I am tired, and I have an actual full day of work tomorrow (12 hour day) so I think I might just go ahead and pass out now.

Wow... My younger brother has been challenged.

Sounds interesting, but none the less, it pays the bills. Right? That is the only reason I work. Anyway, I guess I will continue checking out your site and see what else is going on. Hope everyone is fine on your end... everyone is fine here. I am considering using my website again. Well, for more than just email. Considering css and xhtml weren't around when I last did web pages, I got a lot to learn. It won't be much, but something to occupy some empty time. Take care.
Posted: 2006-06-13 18:26:51, by talamI realized today that it is going to be more of a challenge on my poor feet than anything else. One good thing about that is I might get a pay raise sooner than I expected, but I doubt it. More and more they are taking away things they promised us as if they had never even mentioned it before.
I am interested in seeing what you would throw together for a webpage. I check it about once a month and for some reason I keep expecting to see a Steely Dan tribute page. :) Be wary though, if you toss content up I will be forced to link to it which means you will be getting about half of my traffic...so like two people a month.
