House Husband 2.0 - DADC
Posted on: 2006-12-05 19:22:06

This will probably be my last DADC post since I no longer work there. Unfortunatly, unlike Walmart, DADC enforces their point system. Anyways, that is the short, read on for the long.

So, a combination of work, sickness, visiting, and general laziness has kept me from doing dishes in, we wills say, about a month, give or take several weeks. It came time to grab some food tonight, and of course, I handed the phone to the wife and asked for chinese. This was about 4:10pm. I had chosen chinese because they are normally here very quickly. Tonight was a sad exception. They got here around 5:30pm. I work, er was supposed to be at work at 6:00pm. I quickly scarfed down my chicken with broccoli and ran out the door with my crab rangoon...which I now realize is still in the car (this being over an hour later, oh well). I made my way through town as quicky as possible.

Apparently too quickly, because I got pulled over coming off the bridge on Blakely. Sure the speed limit was 30mph and I was going 50-55mph, but it would have been 40 or 45 in about another hundred feet. Oh well, the police officer mentioned speeding, reckless endangerment, and something else I don't remember. I handed over my license, registration, and mentioned it was not too much because getting pulled over would make me late for my job which would push me over on points leaving me without a job. We both laughed at the irony of being late because I was going faster and he went to his car to check me out. A few minutes later, he came back, gave me a verbal, and said since I was clean and lost my job he would not give me a ticket, but to watch my speed.

I got to work, had my supervisor check my points and as I thought, I was over. I did find out, however, that I only had two weeks left anyways, so while it sucks, I only am really missing out on one paycheck. So now my wife gets her little house husband back.

Work - a catch 22

Now that you're not working you can do wonderful things like fix the color of your web page or maybe even visit family. Oh, now you don't have enough money to do much traveling. Well at least the web page looks good.

...it wasn't broken. It was an intermediate step in the design process that I decided looked good enough to throw up for awhile because I figured, with work, it would be awhile before I finished it. I really kinda liked it. I am glad that I will be able to spend more time with the wife.

It was a good run

You had a good run though.

Take the holidays off and then find something else, something less life crushing.

Pretty!

Ooh, I like the pretty colors there on the right side. And yes, while I am sad that you are sad that you lost your job, I am happy to have you back on my sleep schedule so I can see you more! I have my cutie-pie back!

Ooh! A thought

I just realized that this means you can go ahead and register now for the spring semester since you now know whether you'll be working or not in January! You'll be able to pick classes now!

I hear the whip crackin!
