Pointless EverQuest Stats - Games - EverQuest

My EverQuest account ran out today, it will be interesting to see how long this lasts. I thought it would be fun to take a few minutes (turned out to be more like 20 minutes) and see just how much I have made in the bazaar. My logs go back to April 27 last year—started my bazaar seller in January—so I am missing a couple of months. I tossed my log files over to the server, grepped out all the lines that did not contain sales ( parsed file ...edited to actually work now.), and then brought it back over and messed with it in Excel because I was too lazy to write a script to do it. Now assuming I did everything right, we have the following results:

Plat sold: 617873.7 plat.
Highest priced item sold: Wand of the Fateseeker for 15000 plat.
Cheapest priced item sold: Orc Scalp for 1 gold.
Total sales: 2370, of course any of these could be a stack of items.
Average transaction amount: 260 plat 7 gold.

I normally like to keep around at least 50k and have never had more than 150k at one time. I have probably also made an additional 50-75k just from loot and random person to person sales, trades, etc. I think I had a little over 110k when I logged today, so I have basically spent 550k since April of last year.

I remember when I played EQ, and 1 plat was the unreachable goal. :p Anyhoo, I recently reinstalled EQ2 on my machine and am giving it a go... don't really know why. Probably because my WoW account somehow was hacked and my characters on one server were stripped of all money and items. Also, I was thinking about coming up next weekend, probably fri-sun, would that be cool?

You think that is crazy..

I will have to dig around and see if I have any screens of some of the gear I have. Gear is insane now and would have made us cry back in the day.

As for coming, you should know you are more than welcome. We have no lives, no plans, and a spare bed. :)

Wow, that is a hefty sum of plat! Are you sure you aren't an Asian plat farmer in a corn-fed Indiana boy's body? =)
