I finally started to feel a little better yesterday. Noonish I was up and moving around and things looked positive. The wife and I did most of the dishes (dishes are my job and all my jobs have gone out the window while I have been sick) because one of the guys was bringing food, we straightened up, and took th rash out. The guys started showing just before six and were here until one or two.
Now the last hour or two of play, I was starting to really slow down and within about 30 minutes of everyone leaving, I was in bed. And that was when the pain really started. It would seem that all the coughing and hacking I had done for the past week had slowly wore the muscles in my chest and shoulders down. The moment I went prone the pain started. Every time I would breath in I would get spikes of pain, which would cause my chest to clinch up causing more pain. Exhaling was the only relief, but when you are constantly inhaling and exhaling the relief is far too temporary.
After about two hours of this, I came down, took some pain killers that realy did not seem to do anything. I spent a good portion of the time just concentrating on keeping my composure and breathing as steady as possible. Eventually, either through patience or pain, I finally got to sleep. Sadly, I spent most of this morning in the same boat, but his evening has not been too bad. I am hoping that sleep comes a lot easier.
