The computer wipes went well. I just have a couple of programs here and there to reinstall and I am done. I have also tossed linux as a secondary OS on Lightman, but once again, I am having trouble with getting my wireless card to work. Oh well.
I am now vaguely employed. Express Professional Services has hired(?) me. I am not sure if hired is the right word. They are a temp agency, so they filter work out to people if it fits the criteria those people have given. If nothing fits my criteria I don't work, but I am hoping for the best.
I am midway through season 8 of the X-Files. I am trying to make sure I have seen every episode for whatever reason. Something to do, I guess. I have seen seasons 1, 2, 4, and 6 quite a few times so I am skipping them. I started at season 3 and I am skipping ones that I have seen that don't grab me before the intro music...which means I am skipping nearly all the episodes. I had not realized I had seen as much of seasons 7 and 8 as I have. I am kind of amused that as the acting and production levels keep getting better and better that the feel of the show isn't. But I am going to finish it anyways.
As you may have seen from the last post, I broke out the webcam. For some reason, I just got this sudden urge to dig it up and make something out of it. So now I can make little videos...or technically long videos, but I am shooting for 1-5 minute little sketch art kinda things. Windows Movie Maker can input directly from the webcam and has a variety of options to toy with the video, but I am looking into other options...I would rather not use WMM, but I need something that works in Windows (since that is what I am running), is free (because I don't want to invest any more money that it takes to buy pens and paper in this), and is legal (because I would feel obligated to purchase the software and well, I already talked about not wanting to buy stuff). The webcam being used was the bottom of the line Logitech webcam over 5 years ago. I got it on clearence because it was being replaced with a new model. So yeah, production value is going to be borderline nil...I like the idea of filling the internet with trash no one would be interested in.
