Well, it did not take me too terribly long to fall behind. As of right now, I am about 3500 behind. I was way ahead on day 1 and 2, but did not type at all over the weekend. I hit a very small snag in my story and I wanted to catch up on some podcasts that I had been letting pile up, so it was not all that productive. It did give me an opportunity to figure out who to work around my snag, though. Tonight, I rewrote part of a scene, pulling out maybe 400 words in order for it to fit. I then added part of another scene and got distraced by the fact that my wife is cute. All-in-all I think I only upped my counter by 100-150 words, but I have plenty of time, so I won't stress over numbers. As for tomorrow, I don't really know what I am working, so I am not sure how much time I can devote to the effort, but I know I have at least two scenes that will practically write themselves. After that, I want to go through, and tighten up any loose ends that tonight's rewrite created.
With tonights change, I am fairly sure I can hit the 50k mark by the 31st. What is more important to me, is that I think I can take the story a lot farther than that. Tonights change is also going to give me a more clearly defined breaking point in the first couple of chapters and control the flow for the next maybe 10-15 pages (10k words). So I guess I am kinda excited.
