No face for you. - Site News - Twitter - NaNoWriMo

As is obvious, I made some changes to the layout. Basically, I remembered why I hate using images and got rid of the two biggest ones. Which, since I was getting tired of looking at myself, worked out great. The pics being gone, I pushed everything up and decided to widen the left bar some so the twitter box was more readable. After pixel adjusting it way to much and not being happy with any of the results, I threw in the towel and broke out the golden ratio. Now when I am debating on whether the side bar is too wide or too slim, I can blame centuries of mathematicians. I similarly used the golden ratio as a excuse for a piece I did for one of my Ivy Tech classes after I spent way too much time on different projects.

NaNoWriMo...that is what I should be working on now, or maybe real life stuff like dishes, food, etc. Anyways, I had been waffeling on playing this year or not up until pretty much the last minute. Then I decided that participating or not, I wanted to write down some ideas, so that I would at least have a jumping off point if I did decide to go. And I wrote about 4k words worth of notes. As it stands, I am at 10901 words. I want to hit 13k before the day is up, which will put me only about 4k behind. I have the bulk of the next scene ready in my head so it shouldn't be too hard to hit. That will leave me with 1850 words a day to the 50k mark, but more significantly, it will put me over last years 12k mark.

Also for NaNo, I built a NaNobox for rantfest to display our scores using the api NaNo gave out. Amusingly, I discovered last night that they had some cut and paste images to display lots of spiffy info, but I am going to keep using what I wrote. Color wise, I can make it fit in with whatever scheme I decide to use, and if I want to add any extra info, I can.

Now I need to find some food and get back to writing.
