I had been planning to update a bunch on my NaNo progress, but I sidetracked myself. Just before NaNo kicked off, I started a post about all the dramatic changes Blizzard made to Holy Paladins in Warcraft. I got about half way through my post, got bored with it, saved it to draft, and never returned to it. I wanted to finish it before moving on, hence the lack of random word counts. I suck at updates anyways.
I played WoW instead of writing today, but this was the first day I put WoW first. I haven't really been playing WoW much lately, or anything for that matter. NaNo has been progressing nicely. I am sitting over 10k, which puts me about 1.3k behind (assuming I write today's quota). I just started chapter 3, aside from a little hiccup in dialogue I am working out now, it should go quickly. I am going to pull out a bit from chapter 1 and add it to chapter 3, which deviates from my plan a little, but I think it will flow better. Chapter 1 is a bit busy. I am considering doing the same with chapter 2, ripping part out to use later. It is flashback heavy, much heavier than I expected. Guess I will find out after I start chapter 4. I am alternating character and chapters (Gibson is odd, Anne is even), hence the 1->3, 2->4. I am planning on carrying the alternation through the book. Gibson and Anne grow in very different directions, and I am hoping this shows with the bouncing back and forth.
Well, I could be writing now (on the novel). I might be able to churn out 1k words before 4am (normally pass out between 4 and 5) if I push myself. Have fun, I am going to.
