Ok, seriously! - Humor

Me and the wife have had a long running joke about our cat being a 20th level sorcerer for a long time. The whole idea is Kitty is actually a human who was polymorphed into a cat by a wizard. Since she does not have the feat Natural Spell, or some equivalent, she can not cast the appropriate spell to turn human again, so she is stuck as a cat. I don't really know where this came from, but I am sure it had something to do with too much caffeine and not enough sleep. But anyways, things happen, and sadly, this seems the most viable explanation.

I am not sure how many people out there play Dungeons and Dragons, but one thing it teaches us is that Wizards and Sorcerers get familiars. Familiars are little creatures, usually animals, that assist the caster (think witches and their black cats). While living on 7th street, we were invaded by a couple of mice, two bats, and a plague of ants; while on Oak street, we had an encounter with a pigeon; and tonight, we were again invaded by a bat. Now of all the places I have lived, never were there ANY little creatures running around as when we got out little sorcerer. So I think she is calling new familiars to her to help her do her bidding, maybe by having them seek out other casters that can change her back.

I even think she is developing new powers all the time. She is a cat, and she sheds like all cats, but she sheds tremendous amounts without ever seeming to loose any fur. At first I thought that it would just be a cleaning nightmare, but now I am convinced that she is able to jump between any two lumps of fun around the apartment. She seems to like to spend a lot of time in new areas, thus covering it with fur, and then she can just spontaneously appear there at will. It is freaky. I think she has been trying to convince the neighbor hood stray to build up a clump of fur for her to jump out of the house with. Luckily there is a communication gap. Kitty, not being a real cat, can not actually communicate with cats any better than we can, so the stray just stares at Kitty as it passes by.

We have some of those here too. Maybe they're following us and they're the cause of all these animal shenanigans.
