I am getting excited. - School
Posted on: 2005-12-13 17:29:48

In less than 24 hours I will be done with my first semester back at school. I know I got A's in two of my four classes, and no clue about the other two... probably B and C if I read my teachers right. I have found it interesting that some teachers will base their grade on how many classes of that subject you have had, and if is your first class you probably won't get an A. Of course, I don't think I really deserve an A in either of the classes I am not sure about, but I probably would not get it in one of them even if I did. Oh well. I think we are supposed to get our design projects back tomorrow (read, better get them back), so I might have pictures up of them by the weekend. I am not necessarily proud of a lot of it, but I think a couple came out well, and not to be too arrogant I was above par on most of them.

With the pending break in mind I am starting to look back on areas of the web page I had been wanting to work on, but ended up getting distracted from. So I plan on rehashing a couple of those during the break. The two I am keen on more than anything are the unified backend script with a couple of minor features, and finally getting around to using SSL on the backend. Both should have been done a long time ago, but we all know I am lazy. Anyways, it should be an enjoyable break with a lot of code, family, and gift giving. Come to think of it, it will probably be the first Christmas I have really enjoyed since before I moved to Terre Haute.

A suggestion

I don't know if it is my settings or not (probably is), but the fonts on the comments are so small that I can barely read them. Is there anyway you can change this setting to your normal font of your posts? If not, that is cool too.

There you go.

The user posts are now a little bigger, .9em vs .8em. The base font size is whatever your browser default is, and then the user posts are set to be just a bit smaller. I might end up changing this to a set size, I have noticed that Windows/linux/OsX all seem to display the font size a little differently.

If that still isn't sufficient, I got two words: control and scroll. It works in all of the big three browsers. Of course, the zoom is superior in Opera since it zooms nearly everything, images and flash apps as well.

Meh.

Just to let you know, your color scheme for the page kinda gives my monitor fits. The black on teal thing just looks weird, and the red too. It leaves kind of white area around the text... and it is kind of hard to read. Just thought I would let you know. :)

Yippee for the end of class! Feeling better yet?

Still sucks

Oh well, I just won't read them... Just like I haven't for quite some time. :-) Later.

Way to go...

There's nothing like feeling good about the completion of some education. :)

Some more slight changes...

So I switched some colors around to increase the contrast between the text and the background. I dropped the red out completely, and replaced it with shades of white. I also adjusted the margins fairly significantly to increase readability some. I might do some more tweaking later, but I am mildly content for now.

My new computer settings allow me to view your comments a lot better! :-)
